X LIBBY-WHITTINGTON (she/her)

X is a musician based out of Des Moines, Iowa. She is a passionate guitarist/bassist who enjoys sharing her love of music, whether it be on stage, via lessons, or just through jamming. X started playing music at age 7 through taking piano lessons, and after a break she picked up guitar at 11 and has been rocking out ever since.

She hopes to teach her students the joy and enrichment music can bring to life, using a philosophy she has learned from her idols: that music should be taught as what it is–a language–and to use that language from the second your journey begins to communicate with your peers, empower yourself and others, and most importantly, to have fun. (Shout out to Victor Wooten!)

X offers private bass, guitar, and music theory lessons through GR!DSM. She will give lessons to any age from beginner to intermediate skill level.
