Join us for this weekend retreat to learn about writing and performing original songs as a singer-songwriter.
Youth work solo or with a group to write an original song in just one day and perform it live the following day!

This is a daylong, daytime experience open to youth followed by a showcase:
Days One and Two: Friday and Saturday we will dive into songwriting with workshops and guided composition time!
Day Three: Sunday we will perform our showcase at Girls Rock! headquarters!
The next Unplugged Retreat will be MARCH 28-30th, 2025 & registration opens January 1st, 2025.

This retreat is for youth ages 7-18 identifying as cis-female, trans or non-binary.

Tuition for Summer Camp is on a sliding scale and based upon annual household income.
There is a $25, non-refundable, application fee. If you need assistance with this fee, contact us.
Everyone gets to participate in camp, period!
In our 10+ years of camps, we have never turned anyone away due to a lack of funds, and we never will.
The majority of your camp tuition goes directly to paying camp staff a living wage.
If for any reason you decide to cancel your registration, a $50 cancellation fee will apply.

All lessons and the Unplugged Showcase take place at Girls Rock! headquarters located in Windsor Presbyterian Church:

Yes! Participants have access to our full, FREE Instrument Library including guitars, bass guitars, keyboards, drums (and even less conventional instruments like the theremini & keytar!)
We set up all the necessary gear so participants can focus on having fun and making music.
If a participant wants to take their instrument home to practice, they can check gear out of the Instrument Library- Reach out with questions info@girlsrockdsm.org
