IZZY MARX (SHE/HER)

Izzy Marx is an educator and musician. Originally from Chicago, Izzy has always been passionate about music. She hopes to share her passion and love for music with the GR!DSM community. Izzy also has a background in education. She graduated from Drake University with a degree in Educational Studies. Combining this with her experience working/attending music schools since she was six years old, she understands what it takes to make an organization like this thrive on the surface and behind the scenes. When she's not at GR!DSM, she is either out seeing live music or playing with her band.

Izzy is a drum instructor. She believes that playing the drums is an empowering act. It forces players to be bold and confident. As an instructor, Izzy aims to bring these traits out of her students and encourage them to use them not only in their performances but in their everyday lives.
